Research to counter metabolic syndrome, such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, arthritis, impaired cognition, and neurological diseases, have highlighted the benefits available from plants, especially herbs. We gain the most benefit by regularly consuming a little of a wide range of herbal superfoods and nutraceuticals, just a little each day helps, a good habit to live well with.
We were healthier before the advent of hot bread shops at every corner, now with so much conveniently available grain based products high in calories, low in nutrients we need to adjust our habits to supply the required daily intake of antioxidants and micro nutrients.
Probably the main reason we don't add medicinal herbs to our daily diets is modern habits of shifting to convenience foods. In the past food was mainly from the back yard.
Today we need simple daily additions that make a big difference, like having moringa + ginger or raw cacao for that morning hot drink or added to your smoothie, microfine turmeric + black pepper, a herbal tea before that afternoon nap, raw cacao instead cocoa for that night cap, add a little kava to your water bottle, green coffee boosts that protein drink, these are simple habits that we can live with.

The secret is to add a little of antioxidants and micro-nutrients daily which helps our gut bacteria get healthy, this leads to an improved digestion, a sense of wellbeing, you naturally become more energetic, more aware of a path to better living in all areas of life.
