Will kava show up in a drug test?

Updated: Jun 20, 2021

The simple answer is; Unlikely! Assuming Kava is not illegal in the location or the situation there is no reason to be concerned as taken in moderation kava has been shown to improve cognitive abilities unlike alcohol, marijana or benzodiazepines. Kava eases tension through modulating emotions and may reduce stress associated with office work, exams or a generally busy lifestyle, as a sleep aid it has benefits with little if any side effects. I add half a teaspoon of kava to tea (after adding milk to reduce the temperature and prevent clumping.) at the office and to my evening raw cacao night cap for a pleasant sleep. Kava is psychoactive, its mode of action via the brain stem where it calms the emotions, has no side effects taken in moderation and is not addictive whilst affording many benefits.

Young kava plant.
